I’m Catie Phares, and I’ve been freelance editing since 2010. In this hour-long workshop, I’ll walk you through the big-picture version of how I became a six-figure editor.
Like far too many editors, I started my career with virtually no awareness of the value of this work. I took whatever work came in, charged what I hoped anyone who happened to find me could afford, and felt lucky just to be earning something (as in anything) all on my own. But when personal circumstances and some entrepreneurial coaching pushed me to consider a better way, I took the steps outlined in this workshop. I tweaked the ones that could be improved and expanded the ones that led to instant results. And then something happened that really shocked me: they worked.
Three months after implementing these strategies, I had my first $10,000 month. Within one year, I had nearly doubled my annual income. In 2022, I hit $13,000 and then $14,000 months.
